Abalone & Chicken Soup!

Abalone & Chicken Soup flavour.

Soup: The soup smelled sorta like an early morning fish market, but the taste wasn’t all that bad. It tasted a bit like sea food, so I guess that was the abalone.

The aftertaste was actually really enjoyable, which surprised me since I usually don’t like ‘strong-flavoured’ sea food, but the soup was unfortunately also very oily, which is not really my thing.

Boiled: Very good, actually! I was pretty pessimistic about these noodles, considering the Sesame Oil disaster, but these were surprisingly tasty.

I still favour wheat noodles though, because they, in my opinion, pack more flavour and have a better texture, but this is definitely a contender and by far the tastiest glass noodles I’ve eaten to date!

Fried: I find that frying usually intensifies the flavour, but that didn’t really happen here, perhaps because they are glass noodles. It did, however, make the aftertaste more mellow and lingering, which made me enjoy it more; I didn’t even have to add soy sauce or spices. Frying this will stink up your kitchen though…
