Rather Lucky Than Good?
As some of you may know, I took the JLPT (Japanese-Language Proficiency Test), Level 3, in December of 2008. Yesterday the results were in, and contrary to all expectations, I passed. I am however fairly certain that I just got lucky on some of the questions, which is why I passed in the end, but a pass is a pass, I guess…My stats were:
•Writing-Vocabulary: 76/100
•Listening: 78/100
•Reading-Grammar: 131/200
•Total: 285/400
The passing grade is 240. For passing, I got a very nice, official certificate (pictured on the right). I will be able to use this certificate if applying for a long term visa in Japan, which I will probably have to do in a year or two, when I have to go there for my third year internship or if I have to negotiate my salary if I find work there. So yay to me? =3
