I’ve been wanting to do this post for about a year and a half, since I first discovered Hyadain on YouTube… =.=; Anywho, for those of you who don’t know, Hyadain as an artist who makes remixes of classical game music such as Final Fantasy, Super Mario, Street Fighter, Mega Man, etc.

He (yes, it’s a single dude) writes all the lyrics, arrangement, compositions himself, and does all the singing too (including the female voice). Since all songs are by Hyadain, instead of the artist, I’ll write what game the song is from.

As a final tidbit of info, there’s also an American rap duo who does the same kind of thing (remixing game music to make new songs) called The Adventures Of Duane And BrandO (you may remember them from number three on MotM#13). I’m packing for my 1½ month trip to Serbia (assuming that I didn’t fail my written exam in Japanese, which I think I didn’t since I didn’t fully answer the last question), so I’m busy with writing posts in advance that will be published automatically while I’m away. Yeah, as some of you have probably noticed by the lack of posts authored by me, I’m still pretty busy. While I did finish my econ exam, I have a midway evaluation in my year 1 project coming up here on Monday, so I’m not entirely sure when I’ll have time to post regularly again. Notes:
#5 was the first ending of the fourth season of the anime series, Major. And I love the part starting with “boku wa boku no michi, kimi wa kimi no michi…” and the chorus rocks too.

#4 is a “classic” from a few years back, which I found by accident. According to one of my friends, when he was boxing in Japan some years ago, it would always play in the gym he was training at.

#3 I heard during the ASP Student Council sushi making event, because Nemu wanted to show us the rediculous “OK! =D” part. I totally have a crush on the background dancer on the far right with the shoulder-long hair <3

#2 I just like because of the synthed voices and the chorus.

Having recently added the RSS of my blog to Facebook, I noticed that the videos in my posts aren’t visible, so all you who stalk me on Facebook will have to click the redirect link at the bottom.

Anywho, not much to say, I was shuffling the songs on my computer and found some “oldies”, but goodies. As for the Theory of a Deadman songs, if you like them, and you are a gamer with a love for good stories, I suggest not buying the album Gasoline, but getting the game Fahrenheit (called “Indigo Prophecy” in N. America) instead. It has a brilliant storyline (Random and I were like =O when we played it through), excellent gameplay, and four Theory of a Deadman songs from the Gasoline album as unlockable content (since they were used in-game).

On a sidenote, had a really long talk with Kaiki today for the first time in several months, which was pretty gosh-darn nice actually, since she’s really fun to talk to!! I really miss hanging out and having fun with her, so I hope she’ll enjoy the remainder of her time in China and return safely so that I have someone to laugh at my stupid jokes :3 BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THAT, ON WITH DA MUSIC!!

Until quite recently, my only experience with the music of Bobby McFerrin has been his probably international hit, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy“. And boy have I missed out. Bobby McFerrin is an AMAZING a cappela artist with an incredible vocal range! I am therefore dedicating this MotM to him, so that other people don’t miss out like I have. The videos are from two live appearences (I chose live shows so you can really get a feel for his capabilities), the one where he has short hair is is from Chant, I think, from 1984, and the the one where he has dreads is “Live from Montreal“.

Please note that not all his songs (read “lyrics”) are his own, and since the artist in all the videos in this MotM is Bobby McFerrin (well, he gets help from the audience in Ave Maria), I have decided to write the names of the original group/artist/composer instead of his, whenever the lyrics are from somewhere else.

NB! Unfortunately, since the writing of the post, it seems that all the videos from Chant have been removed from YouTube due to use violations ;_; I’ve replaced the ones I could find again.

Also, according to South Korea, the songs by Big Bang are songs with ‘hard emotions’ (which basically means they’re emotional… but in a hard, manly way! O.o). It’s probably true, but I don’t get what they are saying most of the time, but the music is awesome, so it could be about a dog for all I care XD They’re essentially a Korean version of B2K, I would say :3
