Garbage Seperation in Japan
So I was watching episode 135 of Detective Conan on YouTube when I see this dude, adtv2, asking in the comment section why, among trash in anime, you only ever really see stuff like bottles and cans, but never other stuff like cerial boxes.
This was actually a surprisingly good question, and coincidentally I read a Japanese text about recycling in Japan for class some weeks ago, so I knew that this in part was because the Japanese have a very elaborate system for sorting and trash-disposal. Since I didn’t exactly know HOW elaborate it was, I decided to look it up and found this delightful instructional video.
So, do *you* sort your trash?
